Media in Benin plan to establish an umbrella organisation for the countrys media April 2004. Media professionals from all over the country met in February to discuss the creation of lUnion des patrons des medias béninois, as the organisation will be called.

| Fully Funded Courses in Conflict Reporting and Writing International News |
Twelve African journalists will be eligible for fully funded courses in conflict reporting and writing international news thanks to the addition of two new courses to Reuters Foundation 2004 training schedule. Both courses will run from 15 November to 3 December, at the Rhodes University School of Journalism in Grahamstown, South Africa. Travel to and from the host country and room and board will be covered by Reuters Foundation.
