Global Health Council Excellence in Media Awards

African journalists are invited to enter the 2003 Global Health Council Excellence in Media Awards. The award will honour journalists who most effectively capture the essence of a major issue in global health and convey it to a broader audience.

Issues eligible for coverage include the source and impact of pandemics, such as HIV/AIDS; the social impact of diseases, such as malaria and cholera; the spread of highly infectious diseases like ebola; or even the global impact of animal diseases, such as bovine foot and mouth.

Eligible works must have been published or aired between February 28, 2002, and February 28, 2003.
