TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Workshop for East African women journalists on AIDS reporting

Women journalists working in Zambia and neighboring East African countries

can apply for a practical workshop exploring the role of information

technology in rapidly improve both the depth and relevance of local HIV/AIDS

reportage.

The workshop is scheduled for early April 2003, but is still being put into

final form by SciDev Net. Sessions will teach ways to access free, but

authoritative online information about the pandemic, and approaches for

reaching leading international experts for comment through the Internet or

other electronic communications technology.

The workshop planners are also interested in receiving suggestions for

additional sessions during the workshop.
