Journalists from across Africa who are interested in gender issues can attend the second Gender Institute Course (WGI), to be held from September 13 to 18 in Abuja, Nigeria.
The course will explore the link between gender equality and health, governance, education, the economy and climate change, among other issues. Thirty participants of both sexes from all over Africa will take part in the course, sponsored by the Women Empowerment and Reproductive Health Centre (WERHC).
Tuition will be a flat rate of NGN50,000 (US$450). Trainees will be responsible for their transportation and accommodation. Special rates for transportation and accommodation may be available.
The deadline to apply is July 30.
