New Information and Communications Technology Bill proposed in Zimbabwe

The New Information and Communications Technology Bill proposed in Zimbabwe mainly aims at merging the existing information and communication laws and repeal the Broadcasting Services Act and Postal and Telecommunications Act.

The bill proposes to introduce a communications authority called the National Information and Communications Technology Authority of Zimbabwe. This body would provide for the licensing and regulation of telecommunications as well as broadcasting and postal services.
