South African journalists who are interested in honing their basic journalism skills may enroll in two upcoming courses, offered by the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism in Johannesburg.
The first course, “Basic Reporting,” scheduled on 26 January, will provide a foundation for gathering facts, sourcing information and positioning stories.
In the second course, “Writing for Print,” on 28 January, participants will learn how to turn the information they have into journalistic reports for the print media.
Students are asked to register no later than a week prior to the course date.
