Journalists in South Africa can enter to win the 2008 Webber Wentzel Legal Journalist of the Year Award, which acknowledges excellence in legal journalism and journalism that promotes the country’s civil and criminal justice systems.
The deadline for entries has been extended to 8 October and is open to any journalist reporting on legal issues in the print or electronic media in the Republic of South Africa.
Two prizes will be awarded, one in electronic media and one in print. Winners in both categories will receive R50,000 (US$6,199) each.
