Deadline Extended for CNN African Journalist of the Year Awards

The 2008 CNN MultiChoice African Journalist of the Year Awards extends its deadline for submissions to 14 March.

The competition is open to African professional journalists working for African owned media organizations or media organizations headquartered on the continent of Africa that produce a printed publication or broadcast through an electronic medium (television broadcaster; radio station or Web site) primarily targeted at and received by an African audience.

Launched in 1995, the awards are the longest running Pan-African competition for journalism in Africa. This year’s awards will be hosted by Ghana.
