The Edward Ruiz Mentorship for South African journalists is offering a grant and the opportunity to learn under the supervision of a professional photographer.

The grant worth ZAR30,000 (US$4,260) aims to help an emerging photographer produce a body of work for an exhibition being organized by South Africa’s Market Photo Workshop. The work must be completed in South Africa by the end of the 2007.

The application deadline is 18 July.
