Funded by the Chevening Fund, the British Council, and Goodenough College, the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) Bursary provides financing for 12 months of master’s level study in international journalism at the City University in London.
Applicants must be employed as a journalist for a CBA member organization and must be able to show strong English language skills. The program is open to journalists from developing Commonwealth countries including: Botswana, Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
Financing covers all course fees, the flight and a total living allowance of UK£9,806 (about US$17,400).
