The successful fellow will be selected to spend four months working with a U.S. media company from March to June 2005. The fellowship covers expenses, including airfare and a stipend. Applicants should currently be employed in a media company, either print or broadcast. She must also show a strong commitment to sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues upon returning home. Excellent written and spoken English skills are required. The IWMF fellowship programme was established in 1994. The two first laureates were Gbemi Sola Olujobi from Nigeria and Diana Zulu from Zambia.
