The World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) Africa seeks a chief news agency editor, who would be responsible for the coordination and management of all news gathering and dissemination within the field of community radio at its news agency located in Johannesburg, South Africa for a one year renewable contract. He/she will be responsible for the planning, management, implementation reporting and coordination of all relevant activities of the news agency. This includes news gathering, network correspondence, regular producing of programmes and dissemination of the same to members. Applicants should have a Masters Degree and/or BA in journalism/communication with several years experience in radio broadcasting; sufficient fluency in Portuguese and English as working languages, knowledge of French.
