Submissions are now being accepted for the "Reporting on the Information Society" media awards for African technology journalists, co-sponsored by the Global Knowledge Partnership and PANOS. The winner will receive a US$ 2,000 cash award. The award is designed to showcase Africa’s best incisive or analytical reporting on developing countries’ progress to becoming information societies. Entries should analyse broader questions, such as the social impact of information communications technologies, particularly on rural or disadvantaged groups, or national and global communication policy issues. The winner will be announced at the World Summit on the Information Society in Geneva in December 2003.
Deadline: 15 October, 2003
