All Expenses Paid Fellowship Opportunity For African Journalists

Journalists from African Commonwealth countries may now apply for the 2004/2005 Gordon Fisher Fellowship to study a subject of their choice at the University of Toronto in Canada. The all expenses paid fellowship, funded by the Alva Foundation, includes the equivalent of the Fellow’s regular salary, all university fees, travel expenses up to and from Toronto and living accommodation and meals. Each applicant must be a full-time employee with a newspaper or news service with at least three years’ experience. The application should include a proposal for a plan of study, a statement of the applicant’s experience, samples of work, supporting letter from the employer, and three references.
