Human rights journalists from Africa can now submit their entries for Amnesty International’s Global Award for Human Rights Journalism. The award recognises the best article written anywhere in the world that raises awareness and understanding of human rights issues on a local, national or international level. RAP 21 will submit 3 entries to Amnesty International. Articles must have been published in either a newspaper, magazine, journal or the Internet between 1 March 2003 and 28 February 2004. Articles may be in any language, however English translations must accompany those submissions in other languages. The winner will be announced at the Amnesty International Media Awards in London, England, on 13 May 2004.
