Aspiring media managers and independent media entrepreneurs from the SADC region can now apply for a two-part training course designed to sharpen leadership and technical management skills. The course takes place from 7 to 18 June and 8 to 19 November in Grahamstown, South Africa. For female applicants, the course is fully funded, including return flight, accommodation and a daily stipend for food. Male applicants must cover half of their transportation costs, yet all other costs are covered. The course will explore effective budgeting, strategic planning, and product marketing techniques. Rhodes University’s Sol Plaatjie Institute, in Grahamstown, in South Africa’s Eastern Cape province, is the host, in conjunction with the Mozambican-based Southern African Media Training Trust (NSJ).
