Journalists who report on HIV and AIDS are invited to submit their entries to the annual HIV/AIDS Red Ribbon Media Award for Excellence in Journalism, hosted by AIDS-Africa. A cash prize of US$ 1,500 will be awarded to the winners in each category of print, radio and broadcast journalism. The award will be given on 1 December, 2003 to commemorate the World Aids Day. Journalists from the following countries are eligible: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Comoros, Mauritius, Seychelles, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Namibia, Botswana, Madagascar and Mozambique.
